
Ed Telenko, a retired businessman now engaged in producing images and teaching drawing and painting at the St. Catharines Academy of Fine Artists and part time at Niagara College in Welland Ontario.
Born in Winnipeg Manitoba, Ed was raised in Nova Scotia and has had a career in sales and marketing with S.C.Johnson & Son and National Cash Register. After being transferred to St. Catharines he subsequently left NCR to managed his own advertising and graphic design company, Free Vision Communications Inc.
He attended Ontario College of Art and Design part time and eventually graduated with a diploma in Drawing and Painting as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts.
His style is best described as lyrical surrealism and reflects an East Asia influence as well as artists such as J.M.W.Tuner, Wassily Kadinski, Franz Marc and Kasimir Malevich.
His intensely colourful paintings are displayed in many commercial offices and private homes and his illustrations appears in numerous publications.
